Through a Forge Works partnership a strategic review into how work practices were accessed and updated was conducted to provide insights into the key strengths and weaknesses of the work practices and a strategic roadmap for the future.

Through a Forge Works partnership a review of the company’s incident investigation maturity was undertaken to identify improvement opportunities relating to causal analysis, operational learning (about operations-specific processes) and organizational learning (about broad business processes) to prevent incident recurrence.

Newcrest Mining

One of the world’s largest gold mining companies, with mines in four countries, wanted to improve their learning from incidents. Through a Forge Works partnership a review of the company’s incident investigation maturity was undertaken to identify improvement opportunities relating to causal analysis, operational learning (from proximal causes relating to technical and behavioral contributors) and organizational learning (from distal causes relating to business processes and historical decision-making) to prevent incident recurrence.
