One of the worlds leading asset managers with investments in over 150 portfolio businesses estimated at $US148 billion wanted specialist WHS advice for major acquisitions. Through a Forge Works partnership, consultants were mobilized on-demand to provide WHS due diligence services, including field visits, business process reviews and interviews, and detailed findings to assist the organization prepare their bid.

Strait NZ

An integrated road and maritime logistics company wanted to establish a Board Health and Safety committee to oversee health and safety matters within the organization. Through a Forge Works partnership, an executive consultant was deployed to advise the Board and independently chair the committee.

IGO

An established and innovative mining firm with both upstream mining and downstream processing assets wanted to understand how their leadership influences safety of work outcomes and to establish a leadership narrative that deconflicts safety and productivity objectives. Through a Forge Works partnership, awareness and alignment was created around the drivers that create safety and productivity, from which a ‘know-say-do’ framework was created to enable the development of communication narratives, training programs, engagement approaches and ‘learning loops’ to promote those factors that deliver both safety and productivity outcomes, balance those factors that deliver safety at the expense of productivity and undermine factors that deliver productivity at the expense of safety.

NDIS

The National Disability Insurance Scheme wanted to explore contemporary safety science in order to further ongoing discussions supporting their strategic direction for safety management and provider safety assurance. Through a Forge Works partnership, a Discussion Paper was drafted, summarizing the relevant safety science research within the healthcare and disability industry sectors, discussing the range of approaches to safety management and detailing the advantages and disadvantages of each approach.

QIC

A government owned investment company with more than $79 billion of funds under management wanted to improve health and safety management practices and required expert, independent support. Through a Forge Works partnership, an executive consultant was deployed to facilitate workshops with the Directors to identify opportunities to strengthen their governance approach and provide independent advisory support for their annual Board of Directors Health and Safety awareness briefing session.
